Sugiol
(Solvent Red 24; C.I. 26105)Sugiol is extracted from the herbs of Salvia yunnanensis. It inhibits the inflammatory cytokines of TNF-alpha and IL-1beta by the decrease of the ROS and the reduction in the phosphorylation of MAPKs. It could scaveng activities of nitric oxide, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl, hydroxyl free radicals and superoxide significantly. It displays an antioxidant effect.
