描述：Nestin是一种中间丝蛋白Ⅵ,它主要表达在中枢神经系统干细胞,在几乎所有成熟CNS细胞上均不表达。Nestin作为标记物已经广泛应用在识别神经系统发育中和体外细胞培养中的CNS干细胞。然而Nestin在CNS 干细胞生物学上的作用尚不明确。Nestin在体外并不形成中间丝。它的短暂表达已经证明是神经分化途径的关键一步。Nestin 有时也在非神经干细胞群表达,例如胰岛祖细胞及造血祖细胞。

纯化方式：Chickens were immunized with three synthetic peptide / keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) conjugates. These synthetic peptides corresponded to different regions of the mouse nestin gene product (NM_NP_057910), but are shared with the rat (NM_012987, NCBI) protein sequence. After repeated injections, immune eggs were collected, and the IgY fractions were purified from the yolks. These IgY fractions were then affinity-purified using a peptide column, and the concentrations of the eluates adjusted to 300 µg/mL. Finally, equal volumes of each of the three affinity-purified anti-peptide antibodies were mixed, and the preparation was filtersterilized.

使用鸡多克隆Nestin抗体进行3T3细胞的IF/ICC染色分析，4%组织固定液固定细胞（PC-00005），（PC-70015,1:1000稀释，红色），绿色为beta-Tubulin III ,蓝色为DAPI。
