Anemarrhenasaponin A2 is a steroidal saponins extracted from Anemarrhena Rhizoma. The rhizome of Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bunge (Liliaceae), so widely used in traditional chinese medicine, has been known to have an anti-diabetic activity, anti-platelet aggregation activity and diuretic activity.
